We offer three charming private rooms, each with its own character and sense of old-fashioned comfort. Whether you’re planning a birthday, baby shower, family gathering or long lunch with friends, our spaces are designed for relaxed celebrations over tea, scones and shared plates.
The Tea Cosy is located in a heritage-listed 1880s building in Australia’s oldest suburb, The Rocks. We are just a stone’s throw from the Harbour Bridge and nestled in the heart of The Rocks Markets, surrounded by Sydney’s rich history and charm.
From light-filled downstairs rooms to cosy upstairs spaces overlooking the markets, there is a room to suit every occasion. Each room is booked with a simple minimum spend, with food and beverages ordered on the day counting toward it.
The Ladies’ Parlour

Light-filled and elegant, The Ladies’ Parlour is located downstairs with easy access and a semi-private feel. It’s perfect for smaller gatherings, long lunches and special occasions — and was famously booked by Oprah Winfrey for a private function.

Nanna’s Nook

Warm and nostalgic, Nanna’s Nook is a fully private upstairs room overlooking The Rocks Markets. Cosy, character-filled and tucked away from the bustle, it’s ideal for smaller celebrations.
Please note: access is via very steep stairs, so this room is not suitable for prams, young children or guests with mobility concerns.

Pop’s Place

Our largest private room, Pop’s Place gives you extra space and time to celebrate with friends or family. Located upstairs, this fully private room includes extended booking times, dedicated wait staff and time for decorating before your event. You can also catch glimpses of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from two windows.

The minimum spend is the minimum amount your group needs to spend on food and drinks during your booking. There is no separate room hire fee.

Most rooms are booked for 2-hour sittings during the listed time slots. If you need extra time, please get in touch — we may be able to help depending on availability.

Nanna’s Nook and Pop’s Place are located upstairs and accessed via very steep stairs. They are not suitable for prams, young children or guests with mobility concerns.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own cake. A cakeage fee of $3 per person applies.
